In 1905, Fujingahou, was started by Doppo
Kunikida(1871-1908) and his associates, and it has been continuously
published until today, changing its title and publisher. It is the longest
magazine among those such as Fujinsekai, Fujinnotomo, Fujinkai,
Shufunotomo, and Fujinkurabu. This long-lived magazine was a leading pioneer in illustrated magazines of the Meiji and Taisho era, which adapted radical designs and layouts with many illustrations and photos, bringing new perspective to female journalism of those days. It covers broad range of topics such as education, womenfs activities, trend, fashion, beautification, household information, news from overseas, and etc. This DVD-ROM edition contains all the numbers from 1st issue through ending issue of the prewar series, coming with the excellent searchable database, which allows readers to find a matching record easily.
